This program works to eliminate or adapt to local environmental challenges that pose evidential threats within local communities. As local and national population keeps rising, environmental problems are also on the rise: poor hygiene, problem of municipal and household waste, water pollution, forest degradation, lost of biodiversity and host of others. SACRCoD is using her facilities and capacity to be a partner in solving these glaring issues.
Examples of our work in environmental protection is promoting outdoor activities like planting of trees around water catchments and building capacities on environmental awareness, habitat conservation and sustainable best agricultural practices in the minds of farmers and youths. We encourage Eco tours and development of community gardens and tree nurseries in order to connect man with nature.
